Governance

At the hoPi Foundation, rigorous and transparent governance is at the heart of our commitment to our donors, partners, volunteers, and the families we support.

The Foundation is administered by a board of directors made up of nine members, elected for a two-year term. Board members volunteer their expertise in service of the Foundation's mission and oversee sound governance, strategic development, and responsible management of its resources.

All directors commit to a Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, which sets out principles of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and conflict-of-interest management.

The board of directors meets at least once per quarter, in addition to holding an annual general meeting, in accordance with the Foundation's by-laws.

The executive director reports to the board of directors and is responsible for the Foundation's day-to-day management, the implementation of its strategic plan, partnership development, philanthropic activities, and the execution of its mission, under the board's supervision.

By working closely together, the board of directors and the executive director ensure that every decision is made in the best interest of the mission, the beneficiaries, and the donors of the hoPi Foundation.
